Notable Australian luthier Graham McDonald will present an instrument building workshop at Newberg Music Center on July 2nd at 4:30. He builds all types of stringed instruments and is best known for his bouzoukis, citterns and related instruments. He has been building for 20 years and is a consultant for Sydney's Powerhouse Museum and the NSW Conservatorium of Music. His instruments are played world wide by such artists as Donal Lunny.

   His workshop will focus primarily on bouzoukis and related instruments but he will also discuss other stringed instruments and general building methods.

   Graham has recently written a book about building bouzouki family instruments and will have copies with him for sale.
