A native of Ennis, Co. Clare, Ireland, Gerry O'Beirne is a self-taught master of the 6- and 12-string guitars and an inspired singer and songwriter. Whether performing solo or with other artists, his unique musical stylings and poignant original songs coupled with a passionate love of the music draw his audience into an intimate circle in the largest concert hall or the smallest pub. Gerry is also much sought after for his skills as an arranger and producer. Gerry OíBeirne has toured around the globe with several bands and artists including:

Patrick Street, The Sharon Shannon Band, Midnight Well (which featured his unique slide guitar playing), The Waterboys, Andy M Stewart, Martin Hayes, Kevin Burke, and Andy Irvine.

He has performed at the White House, opened for the Grateful Dead, appeared on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" radio show, and played electric guitar with Marianne Faithfull.

The Sunday Times describes "(His) instrumentals are out of this world. A self taught master of the 6 and 12 string guitar, the playing of O’Beirne is superlative and subtle beyond words." Rock ‘N’ Reel writes, "His works are simple, elegiac and exquisitely worded pen pictures of life’s experiences." And The Word says, "He should be compulsory listening for any aspiring ambitious guitarist. It’s not just his technical dexterity and brilliance that catches the imagination, it’s the inventive use of arrangements, lyrics and melody."
